About Tim

I've been where you are.

My family and I live in Canada, near the capital city Ottawa. Before moving here I spent 20 years overseas in Singapore, England and a few other countries often doing what you're doing now.

So I know what you're going through, trying to figure it all out on your own.

Moving to a new country, even if you already have a job offer, forces us to make so many decisions--where to live, how to build a good credit score, how to approach your particular workplace issue in a culturally-sensitive way. 

I founded Envoy to solve this problem--with a clear protocol for how to get set-up in Canada, as well as frameworks and research you can use to make better decisions about your life here.

I have 3 university degrees, including an MBA. I worked for the Canadian government and then as a teacher and teacher-trainer. 

I originally started helping expats as a business coach overseas in Singapore and Thailand and I've been helping immigrants and expats for about 15 years now.

I love that, at his stage of my career, I can focus on helping other people establish their careers and lives here in Canada.

Like most Canadians, I love immigrants. Having moved so much myself, I have a deep personal appreciation for the growth that occurs in us when we switch countries. I love the effect that moving to a new country has on us, helping us to see new things that are possible for us and in us. So I'm grateful to be able to help you with this part of your life.
